Ever heard of a runner’s high?

It’s that brief, deeply relaxing state of euphoria you can get from exercise or running which can reduce anxiety & pain.

For years it was believed to be linked to endorphins, the “feel good” neurochemicals that flood our bloodstreams during exercise producing feelings of happiness & pain relief.

Exercise also stimulates the release of other neurochemicals like: serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine into the body, which all play a big role in our moods!

BUT GUESS WHAT…

Recent research has shown that those feelings attributed to a runner’s high are due to our ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM! That’s right, we all naturally have one just like a digestive, nervous, skeletal, muscular system.

This is the same system that’s affected by tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) & cannabidoil (CBD) 2 of the many active compounds in cannabis.

Like endorphins, exercise releases endocannabinoids into the bloodstream. If you feel euphoric or deeply relaxed after a run, these molecules may be the responsible party!

CBD alone is a powerful antioxidant as well, meaning when you use it topically it protects the skin from free radicals. And that’s just one isolated cannabinoid, imagine the power that exists within full spectrum or isolating all the other types of cannabinoids.

Plus, topically it doesn’t enter your bloodstream but you’ll still receive all the benefits for skin, stiff joints, sore muscles, pain, & inflammation. I think it’s a great intro/beginner product to the plant!

It’s 2022, don’t be afraid to educate yourself on the benefits of cannabis and your wellness, as well as, your endocannabinoid system and it’s role in our bodies. One thing I love about the cannabis plant is that it’s so versatile; food, textile, paper, medicine...I mean HELLO sustainable future! Believe it or not, historically, cannabis/hemp was a common staple in households and well known for its medicinal uses until it was made illegal. With legalization in many states, studies are finally possible and our wellness can be enhanced, naturally!

It is excellent for basically 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 health condition, anxiety, pain, & just overall relaxation. There is so much more to this super plant than smoking it or just getting “high” from THC or even the wellness properties of both that & CBD.⠀

The cannabis plant has a myriad amount of cannabinoids, 2 I’m going to highlight 𝗖𝗕𝗗𝗮 & 𝗧𝗛𝗖𝗮. These are the acid forms rather than their active forms, so don’t worry there’s n0 psychoactive properties. ⠀

Cannabis is also a SUPERFOOD. You can find these benefits in 𝗥𝗔𝗪 cannabis. ⠀

Raw cannabis buds take the show with their anti-inflammatory properties, rich in protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, essential amino acids, omega3 & omega6 fatty acids, terpenes & flavonoids. ⠀

PHEW they dense as hell! And fresh is best over dried! These are freshly picked this morning!⠀

Even the fan leaves, although a lower concentration than the buds, they pack more available nutrients than kale. Yeah… ⠀
