How To Make Reefer Pizza

Pizza is an international favorite. Originating in Italy, every major American city has its own style. Chicago has deep dish. New York has thin crust. Even Detroit has its own pizza style. Pizza has gone through a lot of changes since it first debuted as focaccia in Ancient Rome. It was first referred to as “pizza” in 997 A.D.

Knowing that pizza has already undergone some major cosmetic changes, you have no reason to fear making some changes of your own. This recipe will help you make a deliciously cheesy pizza that will have you feeling great after eating it. After biting into a slice, you are definitely going to want more—but that could just be the munchies. Reefer Pizza is a brand new take on the Italian classic.


  • 1 small (8-inch) store-bought pizza crust
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup cannaoil
  • ½ tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon of salt & pepper
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Romano cheese, shredded
  • Your favorite pizza toppings!


Mix the tomato paste, water, cannaoil, dried basil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small saucepan and stir well. Bring the mixture to a light boil, then turn the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. After 30 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and let it cool. Transfer the sauce to a mason jar and let it chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Prepare the pizza dough following the directions on the box, and preheat the oven accordingly. Spread the sauce evenly on top of the dough. Sprinkle the mozzarella and romano cheese evenly on top of the sauce, and add your favorite topics accordingly. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
