Can you fail a drugs test with CBD? We Took It For 10 Days And Made A Video...

Does CBD show up on a drug test? Find out more about one of the most common questions we get asked. Is it legal? We love to give advice where we can, we believe it's what makes us different.

So first up what's going on here?

There's a huge growth in the popularity of CBD globally, and with many people working in indusries that undergo routine drug tests as part of their employment contract we wanted to understand a little better, if taking CBD oil could cause you to lose your job.

That's the nub of it.

Why would CBD cause anyone to lose their job?

CBD is extracted from a part of the Cannabis family and depending what plant and how it's extracted, can lead to significantly higher levels than is desired THC.

Hold on, what is THC?

THC or tetrahydrocannabidiol is the psychoactive, mind altering element that gets a Cannabis user stoned from inhalation or consumption. In most countries around the world THC is illegal, while other countries allow CBD products providing THC levels are trace or in that region.

So CBD doesn't get you high?

No, CBD won't get you high, but it is suggested it carries a number of potentially beneficial medicinal properties. Don't take my word for it, here's the guys from Harvard with their research.

So What Level of CBD is Legal?

In the UK, the level is 0.2% of THC or below, in some countries it's zero. So if you work in a role that undergoes drug testing, it's important that any CBD you take doesn't put metabolites into your system that make it look like you have just come back from a Humbboldt Brands Annual Fiesta.

This means a lot of CBD users are looking for a brand that is made with either CBD isolate, or broad spectrum CBD. Broad Spectrum means the CBD has been filtered to remove THC, while isolate is simply the pure CBD form.

There is also, what we call 'Full Spectrum CBD', this is what you might call 'Naked CBD', in that it is full of the additional organic elements that you some consider important to get the full benefits of CBD. This is where the term entourage effect comes from. The group of organic compounds alongsie CBD working in harmony.

Is the Entourage Effect Real?

There hasn't been sufficient studies for us to really discuss this, and it may simply be a case of causation leads to correlation. The entourage effect may simply be a way of explaining why one other element has some wonder property and everyone assumes it's the whole mixed bag.

More studies need to be done to determine this.

Back to our CBD Drug Test

So let us get on with this experiment, where we took CBD for 10 days to see if it showed up in our system.

Have you tested this CBD yourself?

So, we took CBD for 10 days and we wanted to show you the truth. We took a 500 mg CBD oil bottle, the type able to be bought online anywhere, such as this online CBD Oil shop and filmed ourselves consuming 50 mg every day.

We did this for 10 days. That's 500 mg CBD oil and then we took a drugs test.

How did we take the drugs test?

I am not going to bleed out on camera, so we took a urine test twice. Once at the beginning and once at the end of the test, with the results shown on camera each time.

Shall we watch the video to see what happens?
