Your Prince (King Of Dumb)
If I Could Only Say Only What I Mean
I cannot direct you to the market of the carpets that you seek.
I'm a thief.
Your pocket, I've picked to be in, from this crowd of people.
You can no doubt see me for the beast I mostly am
but can you also see the least of me, the best kind of a man?
Picking up the slivers of the broken, shattered shoes
out there on the path I chose that led me right to you.
Boots of glass, a crystal skull, a winding road of wander,
I wonder if you ponder on the thoughts I sent out yonder?
I'll leave,
no trace,
no conversation,
if you wish it so.
I'll stay, forever,
if you're ever ready,
let me know.
Red, delicious apples and a baggie full of dust
aren't real enough to touch the rush I feel or kill the one I love.
This isn't lust.
I know that feeling,
too much,
inside, and inside-out.
I know the tug of needing drugs to silence pain and doubt.
Apple-poisoned-fingers crossed in hopes of finding bliss?
Don't be dumb, like me.
We've won!
My Queen, come to me for magic kisses!
I DO existence!
I think I might have always been existing.
No fairy tale, I'm real, right here
just because you wished it!
Your Prince looks like a bum
but he's the one, true, King of Dumb!
