To the one with brown eyes,

You hear songs mention blue or green eyes, any that isn’t yours

You don’t feel seen

You and your friends see someone attractive with grey, green, hazel, and yes blue eyes and….

You’re all mesmerized by them

And you don’t feel or believe someone will be mesmerized by yours

My darling, you’ve missed something

Your eyes may be the same color as the first but God Adam from the dirt

The dirt brings life. New life springs forth from the dirt.

Brown is the color of life.

Your eyes looks into the very depths of every soul

Your eyes hold centuries of secrets

Your eyes are comfort

Chocolate

Coffee

Mocha

Syrup

Your eye color may be simple but never NOT complex

Your eyes are amber that holds stable

Your eyes hold history of people and nations

Your eyes are pecans that when you smell it there’s a wide smile on your face

Your eyes remind me of eating fresh gingerbread every Christmas

Your eyes are beautiful because God Himself knew the world needed that sparkle of YOUR brown eyes

Your eyes are easy to escape into and feel safe

Your eyes are home
