Ask your

BODY

cuz it pulls triple shifts

despite deficits up the yin-yang.

Every process, an orchestrated symphony of

finesse often taken for granted like your

gall bladder which can’t earn you more social media likes online but sure

‘hellur-excruciating’ when function ain’t fine.

Incommensurate appreciation metamorphoses the ratio of physiological

joint range juxtaposed with errands outstanding, action without a thought but

keyhole surgery now

looms,

mandatory sick days with

nerves on edge,

options that sever nerves/straddle medication charts, a result of frequent disregard,

prioritized failure...on the one thing unequivocally yours from birth—a body.

Quotation marks circa dialogue of “Keep going” and “Hurry up” you

relinquished to

societal somebodies…anybodies

that you shoulda-coulda-woulda taken ownership of, so FFS

U-turn pre-existing trajectories!

Value deeply held reflections upon intent that demand

win-win scenarios

Xerox-copied multiple times, so ask

your body what it needs on a daily from that

zoom lens focus prepped to implement notes taken—ASK and wait...it will answer.

Excellent advice, and this rings so true to many of us who don’t take care of something so fundamental to who we are! “an orchestrated symphony of finesse often taken for granted like your gall bladder which can’t earn you more social media likes online but sure ‘hellur-excruciating’ when function ain’t fine.” is a brilliant line, and you handled the constraints of the challenge really well. Love the message 🙌

Love this, Dani! An important reminder that we have this one body that carries us as much as we should care for it. Love the lighthearted humor-your voice is one I really enjoy reading here. 😃

I wish I could heart twice because I had to read it twice to take it all in. Great advice. Listen to your body.

  • Yes, it does. Too bad I don't have access to that which it most frequently answers.

  • This was some solid advice! Only fools wouldn't follow this, lol! Loved your Abecedarian!
