Mary Never Gave A Damn

She opened up the door, a crack, when he barged in

uninvited, and he never said please

He said the game she played, was the deadliest of sins

drop the innocence, he said, get down on your knees

I've watched you for a while and I know who you're hiding

a vixen in the guise, of a shy little lamb

But give me just a minute and the truth will be shining

give me your excuses, but know, I don't give a damn

She dropped down to her knees, and her eyes hit the pavement

she slightly hesitated, knowing something he didn't know

She reached into her boot, and then, to his amazement

she thrust the blade into his shoe, severing all his toes

As he crumbled to the ground, desperation consumed him

he gazed into her eyes, searching for, what he had missed

She gave a little wink and said, love - you got the wrong pseudonym

the little lamb to slaughter, drew you, for this deadly kiss

She left her lipstick marks on the side of his forehead

she carved him like a pumpkin, displayed on Halloween

He never saw it coming, and the last thing that she said

never trust a little lamb, who ain't what she seems

The policemen found his body by the trash, on the sidewalk

she left a note tucked neatly in his hand, plain to see

Here lies the body of the monster, that's been alluding Sherlock

The ladies of the night, can carry on as they please

The moral of the story isn't as hard as it seems

everybody has a right to be free

Free to choose to live their lives, however they dream

and monsters will be split at their seams.

Monsters, monsters, everywhere, heed this word of caution: split while you can or find yourself split.
