Time passes while our minds lie
But when closed our eyes dream in remembrance
Asking ourselves the who's and the why's
Wondering why we broke covenants
And why in times we chose to laugh or cry
These moments that have passed
Will eventually fade as the clock ticks by
But riding on a lazy weekend breeze
These times may float through our minds
And be reborn into our lives
Rewritten in the stars or in some lousy bus stop rhymes
People we miss
Tend to touch and go on that windy current
And enemies we ditched
Will try to take our vision and blurr it
And along for the ride on our windy scene
Blurred shadows of past deterrents
Will try to take over your dreams
And tears will encourage growth
The way you'd cry
To see her go
But along with the burn of the sun
Comes brightness that'll run you through cold fronts below
Or if you choose
You can flourish in the light
As your tears corrode at a life
That never could have fulfilled your eyes
It'll all come back one day
All these impactful memories
When we realize that change
Is what brought our spirits through centuries
When the people that we've met
Have all blown away with the breeze
Along with the dust
The sun and the leaves
The flowers that sprouted
Watered by the tears we've deceived
Over love and lust
Lost in blank lines with our worries relieved
Words reflect what we see in a blink
If not on paper in stars
And if you choose to love or forget
Laugh or cry about scars
Just know that your next life resides
In the life of a painters memoirs
So that one day another soul can see
What true art has achieved in minds so far
