After month in Egypt
encountered campus surprise
going the wrong way.

Authors's note: Today something reminded me of a snafu that happened ages ago. What's the old saying, "Once you know all the correct answers, they change the questions.
In this case, after field school in Egypt, returned to campus. While away, they changed the one-way streets on campus. Oops, discovered that the car was headed in the wrong direction. Luckily, avoided a crash.

I’ll spare you the details of that—but in addition to the grotesque physical symptoms, I had some fever dreams I won’t soon forget. Imagine my surprise to see Vocal’s newest challenge: Write a fiction story about a recurring dream or nightmare.
