What Can Greed Do To You?

Excessive Greed Is Harmful

By Shreya KellyPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

Alicia is a very greedy woman. She was married and has a daughter Lydia. She was unhappy in her marriage as she is never satisfied with what she has. She thought that her neighbors Paul and his wife were an ideal couple. She didn't know that Paul was a con man who cheated on his wife with multiple women. He sensed that Alicia was interested in him. He gave her too much praise and attention. He told her that he divorced his wife. She believed him and divorced her husband. She married Paul within a month after her divorce. She was madly in love with him.

Lydia's academic performance dropped at that time. Because Alicia is very greedy, she imprisoned her with books. She didn't even let her take a 5-minute break. She didn't stop there. She began illtreating her every single time she saw her. She didn't even hesitate to call her own daughter "ugly". She was also constantly complaining to Paul about her. Sensing that she loved him and hated her own daughter, he sexually assaulted her (when Alicia was away). Lydia was heartbroken when her mother didn't believe her.

One fine day, Paul eloped with his first wife. He never even divorced her. Because of her trauma, Lydia is very vulnerable. She can't keep a job. She was cheated on for money and sexually assaulted by several men. Because of her greed, Alicia lost both her husband and daughter. She also runied her daughter's life completely.
