Gentle touch

Meadow grass glowed blue and purple hues in the damp night air.

Golden vines hung majestically from the trees.

There was peace, and yet delightful suspense all around.

A whistling spider web glistened and waited to admire the two compassion fairies.

The fairies flew in with new wonder, strength, and tremendous grace.

They lit the meadow brilliantly like nothing else could.

Laughing and singing with ease.

Diving into the spring water below.

They swam and touched the bottom that was covered in rubies and pearls.

A safe haven.

Flitting through the misty waterfall,

they dreamed of staying there forever,

but deep inside they knew they couldn’t.

The dark, ugly woods, away from the magical meadow, desperately needed them by morning.
