Peter, outspoken

A strong voice for the Kingdom

On the Rock he stood

- - -

Andrew knew the way

That John the Baptist set first

Quietly bold one

- - -

James, brother of John

Saw the transfiguration

First to lose his head

- - -

John, he shared God's love

Always close to Lord Jesus

Exiled to Patmos

- - -

Philip, crucified

He was known by his Greek name

Evangelistic

- - -

Nathanael, chosen

Came from Galilee, he did

Sadly beheaded

- - -

Matthew, taxes kept

At first, until Jesus came

Wrote the first gospel

- - -

Thomas doubted some

But devoted to Jesus

Was not left behind

- - -

James, Alphaeus's son

Supported those around him

Little about him

- - -

Simon the Zealot

Amazing passion and grit

Had fierce loyalties

- - -

Judas, son of James

Also, known as Jude, he was

Went to Edessa

- - -

Judas, betrayed Him

Thirty pieces of silver

Satan entered him
