Una Faccia, Una Gara

To see a human is to see all the colors around,

A part of all the colors of the beauty of life,

Each individual may be white, black or brown,

But each individual is as colorful as the stars at night,

We strive to be accepted as we live out our lives,

And deal with the strife and the hatred abound,

We struggle with the colors of hate and love,

But there are more individuals that have yet to be found,

We seek to be accepted while aboard this blue marble in space,

And try to live as one within the humanity that we call race,

But in the eyes of our neighbor we find the anger we brew,

As we are broken in tribes of only red and blue,

But the color of red runs deep within our veins,

With our bones of white which hold us together,

As the true colors of our race, should never be a concern,

But we don't care, because it's the fire in which we burn,

The fighting builds up with each passing day,

With the separation of truth from lies which drives us astray,

And the hatred of our neighbor, family and friends,

Is taking us down a path to humanity's bitter end,

Where we will all fall into the pit of the abyss,

As we fail to hear the demons' mighty hiss,

We care not for the humans we claim to love,

As they matter not, unlike olive of the dove,

Our colors are fading and turning into only two,

Even though we are not, just red or blue,

We are are blind to see what is coming ahead,

Because we care not for the things that we so dread,

Our time is running out, so little we have left,

For the fire in which we burn will consume us yet,

The firing of the lead and steel of sharps,

Bore holes into us, tearing into our hearts,

When will we learn, that we must stop and think,

What it is we're doing by creating this stink,

Our colors of humanity, will fade soon away,

And all that will be left are the ashes of gray.
