TOO HOT

A temperature over 100 degrees!

Blazing, be careful in the heat.

Causes sweat to appear.

Drains one's energy.

Erased.

Fires arise leaving destruction.

Ground is dry.

Heat melts roofs, roads, and runways.

Ice melts too quickly.

Jugs of ice water to combat the heat.

Kites don't fly in this heat.

Lakes filled with boats, because of the heat.

Morning walks before sunrise.

News of heat stroke.

Oh, air conditioning is required.

People swarm to a lake, a pool, or a beach to cool off from the heat.

Quick steps to the fridge for an ice cream treat.

Red covers the weatherman's map.

Scorching, sunglasses are necessary.

Time for sunscreen.

Umbrella used for shade.

Visits to indoor venues, getting out of the heat.

Waiting for the sun to go down.

Xeric!

You shouldn't overexert.

Zillion reasons to stay indoors and away from the heat.

Writer's notes: Julie Smith's prompt word is heat. It has been hot in Arizona and most of the world. For Vocal Writing Prompts, this is a heat poem. Hope you are indoors!

Thank you for reading! You are appreciated!

That was so creative and a lot of fun :) Too bad the subject matter had to be heat, because I am over these 90+ degree days, lol!!
