To my Person

In search of…

By LaTonya StaplesPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Prelude

He said he loved her from the moment he met her and couldn’t stop his self from falling in love wit her no matter how hard he tried.

Do you know what it is like to meet “the person” but it wasn’t the right time... but in some point, in time, you just knew you were supposed to meet … “this person”. Do you know what it feels like to long for “a person’s” touch and you only ever met them yesterday... and when they touched you, it just felt... right.

Do you know what it felt like the first time you kissed “that person” ... and the way your heart could have just flown from your chest... the gentlest kiss from “this person” was like a fire being sent through your entire body and the way that felt...right?

Now can you imagine how the hours, days, and months waste away because you simply cannot see “this person” face anymore... that’s a soulmate, that’s a best friend, that’s the family piece that you never knew you missed... you do know that... right?

People will come in your life and they will go but that little piece “that person” holds from your heart will remain... mostly just waiting to be put together again. He was the fire to your ice. The heart pumping your blood. The tie to your lonely soul. The only thing in this world that you ever did right.

The one that got away...only the universe understands why LS. So hard to let go so just stick it in a bottle and place it on a dark shelf.
