Time is a healer,
but a killer no less.
Time waits for no man,
as all life itself is controlled in the palm of his hand.
Time flies by,
but always leaves his mark behind.
The energy of the world runs through his veins,
death will come,
there is no escape.
Once you have ticked your last tock,
tocked your last tick,
Time will catch up with you.
But if you wish to stay in this world,
and walk among its surface forever,
you are asking for the impossible.
What is life without death?
What is a river without a current?
Still.
Everything must come to an end.
So treat Time like an old friend.
Take every moment as it comes,
you only live once.
So live.
Authors note: So, this was my poem inspired by the idea of Time and after watching Alice in Wonderland for the hundredth time. One of my favourite movies and stories ever. I am looking forward to creating more poems and sharing them here. Hope you have a good day! (a good recommendation would but to relax on the sofa, with a blanket and a warm drink and watch Alice in Wonderland, Haha!)
