The Third Date Sonnet

I told him to come over after 5.

He told me that he’ll help me with the meal.

This was good, work makes me very tired.

But he came later than what was ideal.

The meal was done and I prepared the place

To watch TV and eat, to end the day.

I had just wanted a relaxing pace.

But he arrived and had a different say.

To have a meal conversing about himself

And listen to music he just enjoyed.

But my hunger and weariness engulfed

I quickly ate and cleaned the plates deployed

It is said the third-date ends with a kiss

But I believe that this is quite a miss.
