Likes to frolic really slow

Through the garden

Tiptoeing on toes of ten

So that she doesn’t crush the flowers

That grows after the spring showers

Wearing a crown of posies

All while she moseys

She picks roses

Then, in a vase, she sets them in poses

Until she is happy

I know, this poem is sappy

**

It’s crazy

But her favorite is a daisy

Pink, red, or white

They are just right

For making chains

And sometimes airplanes

**

Billie Jo is a dinosaur

And once, she rode in a flying saucer

To the moon

What a boon!

She was glad to go home

For it was weird under that glass dome

**

Her mother, a beacon of warmth, likes to bake

Cookies or cake

There’s always a treat

For one to eat

When you visit

And at the table, you sit

**

Wearing her flowery skirt

She likes to dance and flirt

When she’s out

And running about

Doing this or that

Or petting her kitty-cat

**

Billie Jo is a Brontasaurus

Her mind is like a Thesaurus.

She knows her words

And likes to sing her chords

All while writing her songs

And listening for the meal gongs

**

She’s a gentle soul

Who is happy with her role

Of being a friend

Til the very end

Billie Jo maybe slow

But she’s always on the go
