These eyes

what do you see?

Tell me what you see

I’ll tell you if you’re right

Do I wake up with a smile?

Cry myself to sleep each night?

Look into my eyes

For it is there that you will see

Not the woman you see outside

But the inner real me.

Do you see my inner thoughts

looking into my baby blues?

Do you see my many messages?

Have you gotten all the clues?

Can you see my sadness?

Feel it when you’re away?

Tell how much I miss you

On any given day?

Do my eyes tell you a story?

One you can’t stop reading

Will you finish that story until the end?

Then know what I am needing?

My eyes will always speak to you

What my lips just cannot say

So read them very carefully

And never look away.

These eyes will always love you

Will never go astray

This woman will always need you

Forever and a day.

All my love, G.
