There Are Plenty Of Butterflies In The Jar

A prose poem based on the classic quote “there are plenty of fish in the sea”. This is just my own version of this classic quote

There are plenty of butterflies in the jar. They come in various sizes, colours, shapes and patterns. I'm open to meeting any butterfly that emerges from the jar. I'll let any kind of butterfly stand on the tip of my finger. I may not adore all of them. Some butterflies may not adore me back. I'll be as joyful as a salsa dancer if I have at least one butterfly to follow me around.
