Guilty
A free-verse poem about my feelings of guilt
I cry, because
I’m guilty.
I don ‘t want to throw people away
or crush them like ice;
I just want people
to shine like flashing lights.
I know that
I’m not a monster
like Jabba the Hut;
I’m an ally and a queen.
just like Cinderella
and it's a true fact.
I know that
I'm not a charcoal haired,
crimson lipped, pale-skinned villain
like The Evil Queen;
I'm a playful,
fun-loving and endearing lady
with the best intentions.
Thank you for taking the time to read another one of my Vocal poems. I've been struggling with believing in myself for the last several years, due to years of being bullied and fooled. I'm working on this and discussing what I truly believe in helps me be in control of my true thoughts. If you've also struggled with believing in yourself, we have something to relate to. If you became inspired by this poem, please give it a ❤️, share it with others and feel free to send me a tip/pledge to show your appreciation and support. To find and read more of my Vocal publications include three of my recent poems Puzzle, Uniqueness and Holy Land, please subscribe to me and visit my public profile. Please feel free to connect with me outside of Vocal! Until next time!
