Uniqueness

A free-verse poem about my beliefs in "being unique"

My religion is uniqueness

I follow my own bible of

rules, rituals, customs, laws and ways

of living like a uniquely made creature.

I don't believe in usualness

being "typical" or "proper" doesn't makes sense

it just makes me "black" or "white"

dull, mundane and glum.

My religion is uniqueness

There's nothing set in stone

for me to obey, memorize

and take literally.
