The Weekend Whirlwind: A Poem
A time to make memories
The weekend's the best time of all,
When we're free from our weekday work haul.
We'll dance and we'll sing,
With bells on, we'll swing,
And celebrate with no duties at all!

On nights we'll hit up the bar,
And raise up our drinks, wide and far.
We'll laugh and we'll shout,
With no care and no doubt,
As we party till way past the star!

On Sunday we'll wake late and take our time,
Letting the world spin like a silly rhyme,
With no rush to go,
We'll take it slow,
Free from the weeks ringing chime.
*
To our dismay the weekend must end,
And we must bid farewell to our friend,
The parties will be over,
And our fun will run sober,
But another Friday is just round the bend!
