Embers of the Soul

Starting the Heart's Voyage

In the fiery center of the heart, a fire burns bright,

In the darkest night, a string of colors,

There is a spark from within that starts an ember on fire. This is where thoughts begin.

It shows the way through storm and quiet,

One to guide you in the early morning,

Its warmth and light have shown the way.

Fears fade in its bright light.

With a fierce beat, it moves the soul.

In times of victory and times of loss,

A force that can’t be seen but is strongly felt,

Hearts are bowed in the hug of desire.

With eyes lit up with a rare passion,

A clear goal and a clear picture

It tells brave and honest truths.

“Chase the horizon, see it through.”

Love’s soft touch, art’s pure form, muttered words, and the calm before the storm all fuel the spirit’s flight.

An unstoppable force in the middle of the night.

Down deep valleys and up high mountains,

It flies through the sky on wings.

A sign of what the soul wants,

In the heat of desire, hearts work together.

Allow this holy fire to burn.

Hope and a heart’s wish, because in its light we come alive and in its warmth we really grow.
