The Silence of the Prairies

Naturist Poetry

A footfall raises

faint clouds

of prairie dust.

Lost in thought,

sinking into

prairie silence.

Prairie dust rises -

inviting the silence

inviting sun and breeze

to caress skin and muscles.

Thoughts vanish into the dust -

breath tells a story of being alive,

emptiness fills and heals scars.

Eyes see without need

to analyze, to categorise.

ears hear soft sounds

of prairie life,

touching the sounds

then letting them go free.

Another footfall and

another universe of

naked prairie dust

unveils hidden mysteries

buried deep within.
