The sands whisper tales of the Ship of the Desert,
A beast with a hump, where the sun's fire is kept.
He carries the nomad, a guide and a friend,
Through journeys that never seem destined to end.
His eyes, like dark pools, reflect starlight so bright,
They pierce through the darkness, a beacon of night.
His lashes, long curtains, shield him from the storm,
As fierce winds of desert his weathered form warm.
His breath, a white plume, in the heat haze takes flight,
A silent defiance against endless sunlight.
His call, a low rumble, a song of the dunes,
A melody sung 'neath the pale, crescent moons.
He kneels with a sigh, on the sun-baked expanse,
A gift of life offered, a watery chance.
His hump, a life raft, through hardship sustains,
The blessings of patience, through sun and through rains.
So raise high a glass, to the camel, so grand,
The king of the desert, a treasure of sand.
May his journeys be safe, and his burdens be light,
The Ship of the Desert, a glorious sight.
