The Pony of Painted Dreams
A Ballad of Childhood
With a coat dappled brown, like a patchwork quilt,
The pony stands waiting, with a spirit so built
For adventures untold, in a child's playful mind,
A world of pretend, where worries unwind.
His mane, a soft cloud, hangs tangled and free,
Awaiting a braid, a crown for a spree.
His eyes, gentle pools, hold a trusting gleam,
A friend and a partner, in every childhood dream.
He trots with a rhythm, a gentle, soft pace,
Carrying laughter and joy, on his whimsical space.
Across meadows of green, or through gardens so grand,
The pony of painted dreams, a magical hand.
He kneels with a sigh, a furry, warm friend,
Awaiting a hug, till journeys end.
No battles or burdens, just a whimsical quest,
The pony of painted dreams, a haven of rest.
So sing of the pony, a friend ever true,
A spark in their eyes, a magical hue.
May his gentle spirit, forever remain,
The pony of painted dreams, a childhood refrain.
