Poem 1: Mint

By Abby Boggier on Unsplash

Mint looks like creamy pistachio

ice cream that

melts in your mouth, and

cools you down like a green pool.

Mint tastes like spicy, brewing herbal tea

that curbs your hunger,

and warms you up like an oven.

Mint sounds like the wind blowing

in your face as you walk

along the weedy trail.

Mint smells like a tropical river

that you see at a public garden,

and hear as you amble along.

Mint feels like success

when you complete a task,

and feel relieved afterwards!

Poem 2: The Chartreuse Sea (made-up)

The rippling waves

move rapidly like

large, island motorcycles racing

in the electric green lake.

The warm and flashing nature's lamp is

now a cold neon green .

The rays of light penetrate the

ocean of fizzy lime juice.

The fluffy and tiny clouds become

miniature seafoam wings.

They fly like basil green eagles

in the magical jade sky.

Poem 3: Shamrock Lake (made-up)

Photo via Google Images

An inlet to sojourn,

to relax on a tropical

and colourful autumn beach.

Tall, prickly juniper castles

touch the sage sunlight

and kiss the matcha green clouds.

The silent peppermint lake

make little quiet waves.

The deafening sweet gum mist

enters my nostrils and ears.

Poem 4: Parakeet Island

Photo via Google Images

Pear green leaves

dance on skinny branches.

Limes harvest,

trees stand by the

silent diopside sea.

Juniper mountains

circle around like congregants.

Shamrock zinnias

stand on the wooden stairs.

Peppermint clouds

hide the emerald sun.

Seaweed bushes

on top of the jade rocks.

Mermaids with seafoam hair

sit like statues on top of,

glitter dark green rocks.

Harlequin pike

swim underwater.

Spring green shells

lay on the chartreuse pebbles.

Green pigeons

stroll around the bay.

**Some poems are made-up, but are based on various shades of green.
