The Regret of a Love That Was Never Truly Understood

We had a chance to make it right, But we were blind and lost in sight. We never truly understood, The depth of love that we could.

It was a love that felt so real,

But in the end, it didn't heal.

A love that was never quite enough,

A flame that flickered and then went out.

We had a chance to make it right,

But we were blind and lost in sight.

We never truly understood,

The depth of love that we could.

Now I sit and think of you,

Wishing we had made it through.

The regret of what could have been,

A love that was never truly seen.

We let it slip right through our hands,

The love that we could never command.

But now it's gone and we must face,

The sadness of a love that was never truly in place.
