Standing here on the ground I look to the sky
I see the plane flying high
The plane full of people
Thinking of those on board makes me thoughtful
Are you coming home from an amazing trip?
Are you running away from a nightmare?
Are you starting a new life?
Are you coming to say goodbye?
Where have you been?
What have you seen?
Who have you met?
Are you filled with regret?
Will your life change forever
when those wheels touch down?
Have the places you've seen
made you want to change your routine?
Standing here, with my feet on the ground, I look to the sky
