The Forgotten Guest

Gone and Surely Forgotten

Like a swift wind that comes and goes

is how I enter the lives of people I know.

Their memory of me is not strong

That's because I don't linger long.

With striking force our hearts cling,

but only to a thin, long string.

Just how swiftly the wind blows

Proves this tie was doomed

from the start of the show.

The lingering cold of the wind chill

are the remnants of my time till

you move on to a brand new quest.

Because, in your lifetime I was only a quest.
