The Endless Quest
Contemplation's on Identity, Purpose, and the Human Condition
Where am I, how am I, why am I not me,
Why am I not him, why is he not like me,
Why am I a woman, not a man,
Why a man is not a woman,
Why a difference between the two,
So many thoughts appear in my mind,
Why am I thinking this way,
What is the reason?
Should I blame this wonder...
On seeking identity?
On societal norms?
On an inquisitive mind?
A search for purpose?
Other curiosities?
Answer identity.
In the meantime,
I ponder in the quiet spaces
I keep questions close to heart
I engage with different views
For a shift
Or dive into my own soul
For introspection
I discuss with open minds
For understanding
Or even with the opposed
For challenge and growth.
I don't cease exploring
The thoughts that arise within
Turn them into reflections
Sometimes revelations
Sometimes perplexities
Sometimes clarity
Sometimes confusion
For that is
The endless quest
Of this thinker
All the time,
Everywhere.

This is beautiful Sasi, this is like all of us questioning our place in creation. I had to read it twice, it's so deep and thoughtful. Very lovely writing.
I've been overthinking a lot today and your poem resonate so deeply with me!
