Thanks to you

I’ve found my worth.

Something long abandoned

with dreams and wants.

For I am not a means

to fill whatever void was left

because everyone has a place

even if they are not returning.

Instead I am a calamity

born to make my own crater.

I do not blame you.

The end was inevitable,

normal, all thing considered

where we first met and all.

Do I regret doing it? No

but it does not mean that I

do not regret that it happened.

With that lessons were learned.

Enough molding yourself

to fit their preferences

and benefit-of-the-doubt

does no favors only

predicting the end

before beginning at all.

Be yourself.

Unabashed of your little ticks,

habits that someone will grow to love.

Enjoy niche hobbies and quirky media

that may become a common denominator.
