surreal poetry
Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.
"OF SPACE AND TIME I WRITE". Content Warning.
Once upon a time a friend of my youth whispered in my ear my life was clouds of illusion of both sides now. The friend is gone now of long ago. I thought about him and how the song he spoke of to me that day still speaks to me today. I was 17 at that time. I am 74. How did he know? I believe we are reborn throughout and our souls travel in time and space of many realities and into multi-universes of space and time. Perhaps we had met in another lifetime?

Moss on a Log
Soul Soothing Journey Neutral. That was the word that described my thoughts and feelings. Nothing good or bad was happening. Nothing hurtful nor inspiring occurred. Life was simple and mediocre, which felt as if it were a reflection of myself. I was like bland coffee or watered down tea. Sure, I was grateful for where I was, but I also needed something different. Afterall, life is about emotions and experiences.

"Harmony's Anthem: A Plea Against War"
Amidst chaos, echoes of peace plea, Bridges of understanding, let them be. Cry of compassion drowns the cannons' roar, Doves of hope soar, war's grip to abhor. Endless suffering, shadows of despair, Fragile hearts burdened, yearning for repair. Glimmers of unity, a beacon so bright, Harmony whispers, dispelling the night. Innocent souls caught in the crossfire's dance, Justice and empathy, let them enhance. Kindred spirits arise, a call to mend, Love prevailing, a message to send. Mournful cries silenced, weapons laid to rest, Nurturing peace, the ultimate quest. Open dialogue, a bridge to build, Pledges for harmony, let hatred be chilled. Quell the flames of animosity, Restore the world to serenity. Seek common ground, let compassion reign, Together we stand, breaking war's chain. United voices echo, resounding plea, Vow to end conflict, let humanity be free. Waves of empathy washing shores anew, Xenial bonds forming, peace in the view. Yearn for a world where swords turn to plow, Zeal for harmony, let empathy grow.
