surreal poetry

Surrealist poetry embodies the essence of poetry itself, drawing upon shocking imagery and lyrical incongruities to comment on the inner-workings of the mind.

Believe
Believe in the power of your dreams, And the strength that lies within your soul. For when you trust in your abilities, You'll find the courage to reach your goal. Believe in the beauty of the present, And the blessings that life can bring. For when you live in the moment, You'll find joy in the little things. Believe in the goodness of others, And the kindness that can be shared. For when we lift each other up, We create a world that's truly fair.So believe in yourself and in others, And let your light shine bright and free. For when we live with hope and love, We create a world that's meant to be.

The Haunted Mind
Within the depths of my mind, Lies a darkness hard to find, Whispers of the past that linger, Haunt my thoughts with a deathly finger.

Life Isn't All Roses
Fighting the crazy Curbing the storm Navigating the hazy Since the day I was born To old to be gangster Suburbia lifeMore like a prankster Married to struggle and strife Ya win some you lose someKeep on moving along Most days I just feel numbI may just prove myself wrong So I write what I’m feeling You may feel this way too It helps with the healing I am living proof That, when life gets to kicking Don’t run, stand your ground You won’t know what your missing If you don’t hang around So, enjoy those beautiful rosesSuch beauty to behold Not too hard to handle Just watch out for the thorns
