The Heart Beat On
The heart beats on, relentless and strong Through all the trials and pains, it carries on For love, for hope, for all that we hold dear The heart beats on, without a trace of fear It beats for the memories of days gone by For the laughter, the tears, the moments that fly For the people we've loved, who have passed away The heart beats on, every single day It beats for the dreams we hold in our hearts For the journey ahead, and all its unknown parts For the ones we love, who are yet to come The heart beats on, like a steady drum Sometimes it aches, and sometimes it breaks From the weight of the burdens it carries and makes But even in those darkest of hours The heart beats on, with all its power For love is the fuel that keeps it alive The light that shines, and helps it thrive For the love we give, and the love we receive The heart beats on, and we must believe Believe in the power of a heart full of love Believe in the strength that it's made of For even in the midst of our greatest pain The heart beats on, and love will remain So let us hold on, and never let go Of the love that fills us, and helps us grow For the heart beats on, and we must do the same With love as our guide, we'll never be the same. ing
