Oh Mrs. Dickinson,

I feel your spirit coursing through me

Please bless me with your clever hands

Don't ever let these words run out

Let me do our womanhood proud

Simmer as a recluse on my back porch

The sweet sunlight melting my fair skin

I wouldn't trade the feeling for anything in this world

God will have to pry me from this spot

Once I've rotten away forgotten in this gown

surreal poetry
