Loud Thunder
The clouds convene with thunderous delight, Their voices clash in wild electric flight. The earth beneath trembles, awake from sleep, Each crack and boom a promise it will keep; A symphony of nature's fierce embrace, Resounding loud across the open space. Raindrops leap like dancers on the stage, Their rhythm strikes like words upon a page; The air alive with stories yet untold, In every note—a memory unfolds. Children laugh as lightning paints the sky, Their joy erupts as if to dare the high; While lovers stand together hand in hand, And share their secrets loud across the land. So let us raise our voices to this sound, For in its roar our lost hearts may be found; With every storm that shakes our weary bones, We learn to find our strength within these tones.

A Blast of Days
In laughter's bloom, where sunlight spills, We danced like leaves on gentle hills, Through seasons bright, we chased the dawn, Each moment stitched; a fabric drawn. With every joke and playful tease, We painted joy upon the breeze, A canvas rich with vibrant hues, In friendship's art, we found our muse. From whispered dreams beneath the stars, To midnight talks of hopes and scars, We wove our stories, thread by thread, In every word that we had said. The echoes of your laughter ring, A melody that makes me sing; It has been a blast—these days with you— A treasure chest of memories true. So here's to us and all we've shared, The joyful times when none were spared; Though paths may twist and time may fly, In heart’s embrace is where we'll lie.

Threshold's Walk
What was I walking into, a realm unknown, Where shadows danced with secrets on the floor? The air thick with whispers, a chilling tone, Each step a question, each heartbeat implore. A flickering light from the old lantern’s glow, Illuminated faces both familiar and strange; Echoes of laughter from long years ago, And murmurs of promise in moments that change. The scent of aged wood and forgotten dreams, Wrapped around me like a comforting shroud; I wandered through memories stitched at the seams— Time unraveling gently beneath the crowd. In corners where silence held stories untold, Ghosts of my past waved like leaves in the breeze; I sought for connection amid echoes bold, Yet found only shadows that whispered with ease. What was I walking into but my own heart? A tapestry woven with joy and despair; Every thread tangled in love’s fragile art— An intricate pattern beyond all compare. So here I stand still at this threshold divine, With courage to face what is mine to embrace; For every dark entry leads back to the line— Of life’s endless journey through time and space.

Chasing the Golden Horizon
In dawn’s embrace, I run toward the light, Where shadows fade and dreams begin to swell, Each step ignites a spark, a pure delight, The world awakens; nature casts her spell. Through emerald fields where wildflowers sway, I feel the pulse of life beneath my feet; The morning breeze whispers secrets of play, As sunbeams dance on paths that weave and greet. With every breath, the air is fresh with hope, My heart beats loud like drums in joyous tune; In this bright chase, my spirit learns to cope— To leave behind the night’s consuming gloom. Across the hills where golden rays cascade, I find my peace beneath that endless sky; For in this run toward light I am remade— A seeker bold who dares to dream and fly. The sunlight warms each scar upon my soul; It fills the cracks with laughter’s tender grace. In running forth to meet this radiant goal, I shed what binds me—fear cannot erase. So let me race where shadows cannot tread, Embracing warmth as day begins anew; With open arms I follow where I'm led— To chase the sunlight is to find what's true.

Afternoon Toast
In evening’s glow, where shadows softly play, The table set with warmth and golden light, A crusty loaf lies waiting, fresh arrayed, Beside a glass of amber, bold and bright. With every slice, the scent of earth arises, Yeast's gentle whispers dance upon the air; I tear the bread—its heart a soft surprise— Each crumb a story woven with such care. And as I sip this whiskey rich and deep, The oak barrels sing their tales of time gone by; A symphony that lingers while I steep In moments lost—a memory awry. Together here, in simple joy we blend, This bread and spirit shared till twilight's end.

Echoes of My Soundtrack
Melodies dance through shadows and light, Awakening dreams with effortless ease. The vinyl spins, each crackle a caress, Rhythms pulse like heartbeats in my chest; A symphony woven in silk and stress, Notes cascading like raindrops at rest. Each lyric lingers like perfume on skin, Stories unfold where the silence once lay; Through ballads of loss or sweet love’s begin, I find solace as echoes softly play. From jazz that sways to rock’s fierce embrace, Every genre wraps me in its warm glow; In concert halls or an intimate space, My spirit ignites with each ebb and flow. These chords are companions when nights feel long, An anthem for laughter or tears I’ve cried; In every refrain lies a place I belong— The music I listen to becomes my guide.

Gimme Back My Wig
Sometimes I catch myself wishing I were popular; then I remember how much work it is, being likable for others’ sakes, and I say, nah—fuck that, I’ve done my time as a people pleaser. I don’t have time to waste constructing saccharine façades for carb-counting contemporaries who can’t kick the fake sweets. And here’s a secret: I’m not nice, and I don’t wake up in the morning with a song in my heart. If I did, it would be a blues number. As Hound Dog Taylor would say, “Gimme back my wig, honey let your head go bald.”

Dawn of Excitement
Each breath I draw is laced with cheer, Like flowers waking from their sleep, Anticipation blooms so near, With every promise that I keep. The rustle of leaves in playful dance, A melody of joy that sings so sweet, In every glance a fleeting chance, To grasp the moments when our souls meet. I chase the shadows with laughter’s sound, As butterflies flit from bloom to bloom; In this vibrant world where love abounds, Excitement lingers—like sweet perfume. So let me dive into this day anew, With open arms and spirit bold; For life’s a canvas painted true, In colors vivid and stories untold.

Hourglass Awake
Shadows cast by evening’s gentle glow, The sands of time slip softly through our hands, Each grain a moment lost, a fleeting show, As twilight deepens over silent lands. We count the hours like children chasing dreams, Yet dreams are but reflections in the glass, With every tick, reality redeems The promises we made that never pass. Oh how the stars will witness our embrace, As dusk drapes memories upon our skin; But whispers of tomorrow leave no trace— What once was certain now feels frail and thin. So let us dance beneath this silver light, For how much time we have left is unknown; In every heartbeat lies a spark so bright— This moment's all we hold to call our own. Each laugh and tear a testament to life, A tapestry of joy and bitter strife.

Tides of Tomorrow
Beneath the whispering oaks that sway, Lives a man named Thomas, worn yet wise, With laughter like sunlight in his eyes. Each morning he'd wander to the old pier, Where memories danced with the salt-kissed air; He’d toss breadcrumbs to gulls that soared high, While dreaming of places beyond the sky. But life had stitched burdens into his heart, A love lost too soon—a cruel depart. Elena's laughter still echoed at dawn, Yet her light flickered out before it shone. “Time,” he would murmur to waves lapping near, “Is an ocean vast—sometimes cruelly clear.” He'd gaze at horizons where water meets fate, And feel in his chest an ache he called weight. One evening as sun dipped below the sea, A soft voice beside him stirred memory: “Do you think I’ve left?” It was Elena’s tone— A spectral whisper felt deep in his bone. “I carry your dreams like stars in my hands,” She spoke of a realm where time understands; “No end shall come where true love once bloomed—” As night wrapped around them like silk that consumed. With each gentle wave that caressed the shore, Thomas found strength he thought lost evermore. Though grief may eclipse and shadows may fall, It won’t end yet; there’s magic in all. So he stood by the pier with hope rekindled— In tides of tomorrow where hearts are not dwindled; The love that was given cannot be erased— It lives on in whispers—a sweet interlaced.
