This love, the sharpest knife
But this love, it isn’t the sharpest knife like the ones before that carved out a pound of flesh of whichever part of me most pleased them. This love is a silver-plated butter knife, pearl handles in your gentle hands spreading luscious crème de Pistache across my war-torn croissant shapes.

I was talking with a lovely friend and they described me as their gold for Kintsugi, I was taken aback by this beautiful compliment, although I shouldn't have been, but said that should be a poem. The focus on this is care and healing for those who need it.

As I sip my vodka and watch you tease open your mouth and slip your tongue so effortlessly down against your bottom lip, wetting the ripe painted surface. Is it scarlet or crimson or maybe even rouge? And as you put your fingers down delicately against your tongue and smear them with something delectable, is it sweet or savoury or a little both?
