Trapped Inside a Jar

I found a little world one day,

Where painted flowers bloomed in May.

A robin sang behind the glass,

And watched the changing seasons pass.

He dreamed of skies he'd never seen,

Of open fields and meadows green.

Yet in his jar, the roses grew,

And every petal whispered, I love you.

For though his wings could never fly,

He kept a little piece of sky.

And in that world, both near and far,

A thousand dreams lived in a jar.
