Future Steward
future steward let them see mountains and trees and fall deep in love Note: Let the kids go in John Muir's path. "Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves." ~ John Muir (naturalist)

Kaleidoscope
Link to the original poem: Description: Kaleidoscope of stars in space It started as a child. A cousin with a tube of plastic, a beam of light (a trick, I thought). After a while, you forget those astral bodies: stars, comets, meteors, suns too far to believe, quasars, constellations, certain strange gravities. All from that first look (I wonder if I stare now to step away from this dull space: home, table, notes in a book). That child stared up from below, and the world grew in a distant place. * Thank you for reading! If you liked this, you can add your Insights, Comment, leave a Heart, Tip, Pledge, or Subscribe. A Few Forevers. Top Story - August 2026.
There is eternity, sitting quiet in the corner of every moment. maybe that's why we ache for distraction - maybe that's why we make altars of our phones - maybe that's why we develop allergies to stillness - maybe that's why we cannot remember feeling present - because there is the weight and depth and width of the evermore in those seconds I spent on the couch, thumbing a poem in my notes app or watching my millionth sandwich-making YouTube short or dissociating in the bathroom at a social event. take heart, take comfort, take peace, take time in this - for there are always a few forevers before the next moment's need and you can sit in a quiet, quick stream in the corner, with eternity and hear, again, that you will be here, again a few countless times before whatever's next.
