Ghost ships passing by far out at sea I saw them last night from my window, ghost ships passing far out at sea, no lights shining out from their cabins, not one sailor waving at me. The moon made a path on the water, it shimmered as far as could be, and one after one they came sailing, like they had somewhere they must be.

SHE COULDN’T BE BOUGHT She was a little can-can girl, Who danced from morn till night, They said that she was something else, Her future burning bright. She kicked her heels beneath the lamps, Her tassels flying free, And every man who watched her dance Saw what he wished to see.

It Is Only My Place
It Is Only My Place It is not my place to forgive you. It is only my place to understand you, and accept you. We are each given lessons— experiences we must move through, one honest moment at a time. I have to accept your lessons as readily as I accept my own. Not because everything was easy. Not because nothing was lost. But because understanding makes room for what comes next. And acceptance lets me carry my life forward, without carrying your choices as my burden.
