The Storm Will Not Last

Stormy days may feel like forever. But they're only brief formalities in this thing called life.

The fierce storm of the day will pass

And its hold on you will break like glass.

*

All the fears

Will go away with the tears.

*

All the sorrow

Will be gone tomorrow.

*

Even as the storm clouds thrash

And this day it comes down with a  crash

*

It won’t be long

You’ll have to hear this morbid song.

*

There will be better days

To emerge from your haze.

*

So let your tears roll down your cheek

For today no need to be meek.

*

But tomorrow comes

And your pain numbs

*

Today the storm

Tomorrow the norm.

*

At the end of the day the setting sun

But tomorrow the rising sun will never shun.
