Ocean Shimmer

The bone-chilling ocean shimmers with light,
ready to wrap you in its arms so tight.
Its glow carries you through the space in between,
from the shining surface to worlds unseen.

Dive deeper, and the waters will reveal
a white fish locked in battle with a seal.
Farther on, a toothless shark draws near,
trapping a sweet-singing dolphin trembling with fear.

Suddenly, sorrowful and hidden from view,
a white pearl lies trapped in a dirty shoe.
Yet her blazing light blinds even eyeless creatures below,
while the fiercest waves try in vain to bury her glow.
