THE NIGHT EXPLODED

The night exploded quietly
with stars all over black
green bubbles went in every way
and none were coming back

There were fireworks without noise
and circles without end
little colours bumped together
like every one a friend

Pink stars hung around the edges
orange ones jumped about
blue lights hid between the green
then suddenly popped out

It looked like someone shook the sky
and everything fell loose
then threw in several coloured stars
because they had no use

Maybe this is what you see
when dreams have gone too far
when your head will not stop thinking
and every thought’s a star

No roads and there is no beginning
no proper ending too
just little bits of everything
all pushing their way through

I think my head looks just like this
when sleep has gone away
thoughts all flashing everywhere
waiting for their say

So let the night keep exploding
I will watch it till its done
because sometimes all the madness
is where the best things come from ❤️
