The Illusion Filter
There is an art to watching a performance when you already know how the machinery works behind the curtain. For a long time, the predictable cycles of hot and cold, the calculated distance, and the shallow drops of attention felt like an intricate riddle that required a massive amount of hidden energy to decode. It is easy to get caught up in the slipstream of a ghost, trying to find a pattern or a hidden meaning in the spaces where a real presence is supposed to be. But the fog eventually clears, and what looked like a complex mystery reveals itself as nothing more than a fragile defense mechanism running on a loop.

She Wasn't Missing From The Pictur
[Verse 1] She knows the names on every jacket Knows who arrived and who came late She hears the joke before the punchline And sees the hand behind the wave She takes her coffee by the doorway Where winter gathers on the glass No one can tell if she is leaving Or simply letting moments pass [Pre-Chorus] Don't call it distance Don't call it pride She likes the view from the outside [Chorus] She wasn't unfriendly She wasn't conceited She wasn't shy, she wasn't cold She just preferred being outside the bubble Watching the whole room unfold Let them spin their little stories Let them gather, let them glow She wasn't missing from the picture She was choosing where to stand and know [Verse 2] She keeps a notebook full of fragments A train receipt, a line from a book The kind of things the room forgets Before it ever stops to look When someone asks her why she lingers She smiles like she has heard it all Some hearts are built for crowded tables Some need a chair beside the wall [Pre-Chorus] Don't call it distance Don't call it pride She likes the view from the outside [Chorus] She wasn't unfriendly She wasn't conceited She wasn't shy, she wasn't cold She just preferred being outside the bubble Watching the whole room unfold Let them spin their little stories Let them gather, let them glow She wasn't missing from the picture She was choosing where to stand and know [Bridge] And if the lights went out tomorrow She'd remember every face Not because she needed in But because she gave each one a place [Final Chorus] She wasn't unfriendly She wasn't conceited She wasn't shy, she wasn't cold She just preferred being outside the bubble Watching the whole room unfold Now the door is open wider And she steps through when she decides Not to disappear inside the crowd Just to meet it eye to eye [Outro] She wasn't missing from the picture She was choosing where to stand

A Million Different Stars
Verse 1 Some people navigate existence through a calculated lens, Anesthetized by safety, keeping caution as their friends. But immunity is hollow if you never taste the grit, I refuse to live a lifetime just to merely tolerate it. Give me agonizing depth over a superficial peace, I demand the full experience before my pulses cease. I won't accept a quiet exit, pristine and untouched, With a heartbeat that never quickened and a hand that never clutched. Chorus Just to be clear, I seek no shelter to protect my racing heart Cuz I'm gonna leave this life so violently torn apart There will have to be a million different stars just to catch my scattering parts Yeah a million different stars just to catch my scattering parts Verse 2 We are architectures built from all the burdens that we bear, Yet they treat our fragility like a psychological snare. Saying we must guard our psyche, and keep our ego well-protected, But a life devoid of ruin is a life that's disconnected. So, I am running toward the collision, accelerating through the grid, Exposing every nerve my survival instincts hid. Let the shrapnel of my spirit be a beacon in the night, As the friction of disintegration sparks a blinding light. Chorus Just to be clear, I seek no shelter to protect my racing heart Cuz I'm gonna leave this life so violently torn apart There will have to be a million different stars just to catch my scattering parts Yeah a million different stars just to catch my scattering parts Yeah a million different stars just to catch my scattering parts

A Good Catholic Girl
[Verse 1] Candle smoke rises with unsaid prayers While she bends holy words into judgements and stares Her thumb smooths the silver of Christ on the cross But her words leave a trail of unspoken loss [Chorus] She wears the holy cross to cover her shame While burning down lives in his sacred name Preaching of God while she poisons the room While believing she's being a good Catholic girl [Verse 2] God's truth is a garden where mercy grows But thorns of judgement are all she sows She points to the heavens to hide her shame While casting stones in jesus's sacred name [[Chorus] She wears the holy cross to cover her shame While burning down lives in his sacred name Preaching of God while she poisons the room While believing she's being a good Catholic girl [Bridge] The cross on her chest is a call to love To lift up the fallen to heavens above May the weight of the silver remind her soul That only forgiveness can make her soul whole [Chorus] She wears the holy cross to cover her shame While burning down lives in his sacred name Preaching of God while she poisons the room While believing she's being a good Catholic girl

99 Times
Verse 1 We were told not to wound with the words we speak, Not to whisper the things that make the strong feel weak. But the world has learned to laugh when others fall, We traded our mercy for the thrill of it all. Pre‑Chorus Every faith, every heart, every holy line Said the tongue can destroy what the hands cannot bind. Chorus Ninety‑nine times we were warned about the fire, How a single spark can burn through love and trust and choir. Ninety‑nine times we were told to guard the soul, To choose the kind of truth that heals and makes us whole. Ninety‑nine times, and still we forget the signs— But love keeps calling us back, ninety‑nine times. Verse 2 There’s a cost to the stories we twist and share, To the secrets we spill just to so we don't care And the hurt that we spread doesn’t fade with time, It echoes in the hearts of the ones we've left behind. Pre‑Chorus But the light in us rises when we choose restraint, When we speak with the courage of a wiser saint. Bridge So let’s lay down the venom, the rumor, the sting, Let compassion be louder than the chaos our voices bring. Let the words that we speak be a shelter to love, not a storm, Let the world feel safer in the sound of our reform. Final Chorus Ninety‑nine times we were warned about the fire, How a single spark can burn through love and trust and choir. Ninety‑nine times we were told to guard the soul, To choose the kind of truth that heals and makes us whole. Ninety‑nine times, but grace still rewrites the lines— And love keeps calling us back, ninety‑nine times. Outro (spoken or sung softly) This song is not meant to reprimand, but to remind us that cruelty is never to be tolerated. You are loved.
