Still, I want you.
Still, my heart quickens,
At smiling eyes and nervous laughter.
At brunette tresses falling over sheepish glances,
Always distant - never giving.
At memories of thoughts now bittersweet,
And hope lost.
How, still, I wonder?
When no lips met, no lovers' words exchanged.
But what joy in heartbreak!
To have loved so,
A love neither found nor lost.
