Starry Night Over The Rhone
In the City of Love
Lo the star beam sky,
a dome of lit fire orbs.
Play like a harp as one,
a ping, a song of lore.
π
Wave tops rise and roll.
The moon cast in the wake.
Ever near, you stir my soul,
my love, my yen to take.
π
Luna man spyβs from his rim.
A wink says he has tact.
Eye to eye, I see him grin
and just like that, he gave his back.
π
The rill, the moon, the sky aver,
the pink moon buds with lust.
Cast your lot with this lone sire,
My Hera, mold me into Eros.
π
Draw back your foxy bow,
and let your amor soar.
To arch a dart, your vow,
shot true into my core.
π
Kiss me dear, my true love,
your lips shall be my wine.
A sigh, our life, all in line.
from this day on, for all time.

This was magical for me J.S. The mastery you showed with only four letter words and maintaining a rhyme scheme within this beautiful tale! Simply breath taking!
Wow impressive work
Amazing work! Your rhymes, as always, are on point and stir much envy within me, haha. Great entry into the challenge!

Articulate, lyrical & beautiful.
I loved how you used the painting, song in the poem cause it made it a real experience to read. I was reading it in rhythm.
This is brilliantly done. You have really spun a scene well between the references and the images used.
β€οΈThat was so skillfully crafted! It didnβt feel forced to fit the challenge at all and had such creativity! πππ

This is excellent, Scott, and the music is perfect. I'd not heard this duet, although I'm a fan of both artists.
