Star to Star

A poem of love for Robin Williams

Though the stars may shine tonight,

they will not twinkle in our eyes the same,

for knowing you are not within this world,

any more,

leaves us to look upon them with a difference.

We may slowly grow stronger every day,

as we come to terms with your disappearance,

but we will never forget that smile

the joy,

you brought among everyone.

And as we grow through the loss,

a star will follow through the night,

and we will be able to look up,

and smile,

and say, "there you are"

And among those stars you will be the one that shines the brightest,

and then the twinkle in our eyes will reappear,

for knowing that though you may have left us on land,

and sea,

you have not yet left us in the sky.

Goodnight, you wonderful star.
