Wooden floors are essential to my smooothering feet that hit it.

I remember the first time I slid beneath my feet on the brown surface.

Suddenly, I was a child again.

Laughter filled the air with the lungs of mine and my siblings.

We built a pillow slider that moved us along the paved wooden floor.

We thought it was the most exhilirating game.

All I can remember is the first act of defiance.

The first attempt at not listening to our mother for the sake of fun-filled freedom.

The floor of wood was the foundation to feeling free.

Then all at once, the free bird that was lifted in us plummetted.

Our sister fell face first and broke her tooth.

Blood began to hit the floor boiling onto its ground.

The floor became a lesson, it caused chaos, freedom, but also the lesson to our first consequence.

The order beneath the floor was necessary to hold our feet up, hold our ground.

But, it wasnt necessary for us to to toy with.

For life isn't a game most people think it is.

It is filled with the ordering of the lines in between the wooden floor.

For it is important to follow the rules of right and wrong or else you will find yourself in shambles.

The wooden floor is smooth sailing up until you lose yourself in it.
